Clickup MCP Server

Task discovery starts with searchTask, which matches names, content, assignees, or IDs without regard to letter case. It supports fuzzy matching and treats multiple terms as alternatives, returning a relevance-ranked outline of matching tasks. An assistant can then use getTaskById to inspect a selected task's status, creation date, assignees, complete discussion thread, and embedded images. For a view of personal assignments, listTodo retrieves open tasks belonging to the current user, subject to a 50-task limit. Browsing ClickUp Lists or Spaces is not supported.

Image retrieval defaults to the 4 most recent images associated with a task, and MAX_IMAGES allows that limit to be configured. Search guidance can also reflect the language indicated by CLICKUP_PRIMARY_LANGUAGE or the LANG fallback. This changes the advice given to the calling assistant about using English alongside the task language; it does not translate search terms itself. The assistant remains responsible for supplying bilingual terms. Connection uses stdio and requires a ClickUp API key plus Team ID, with setup described for Claude Desktop, Windsurf, and Cursor.
