Overview

Text descriptions become vector artwork through svgmaker_generate, which sends a prompt to the SVGMaker API and saves the SVG at a chosen local path. Generation accepts quality, aspect ratio, and background options; omitted quality defaults to medium. For an existing graphic, svgmaker_edit pairs an input file with instructions for changes such as recoloring, adding or removing elements, or adjusting the layout. Editing examples cover logo revisions and adding rounded corners or gradients to a flowchart.

Image conversion is handled separately by svgmaker_convert, which takes a source image, including PNG or JPEG, and writes an SVG version locally. Each tool lets the caller choose its output location. The project documents connections for Claude Desktop, Cursor, Visual Studio Code, WindSurf, and Zed, and uses stdio transport. The connection requires an SVGMaker API key. Operational features include progress updates, path validation for file operations, rate limiting support, and optional debug logging.
