Overview

Paddle Billing connects to clients such as Claude Desktop and Cursor through tools for catalog maintenance and billing operations. Developers and billing teams can create products and associated prices, organize discounts, and inspect customer records alongside their addresses and business details. Transaction previews calculate totals without creating a transaction, while subscription previews show expected charges and prorated changes before an update. The available workflows also cover invoice PDF links, refund or credit adjustments, subscription changes, and customer portal sessions. Paddle Classic is not supported.

For integration testing, notification tools expose delivery status and response logs, with replay actions for notifications and individual simulated events. Developers can configure simulations for subscription scenarios, run them against notification destinations, and inspect the resulting events. Reporting supports reconciliation and audits through an export workflow: request a report, check its status, then retrieve a temporary CSV download link when ready. Report lookups return metadata rather than the exported rows. Setup requires a Paddle API key, supports sandbox or production, and lets users restrict loaded tools to read-only operations, the default non-destructive selection, or named tools.
