Overview

mcp-echarts pairs a general ECharts configuration tool, generate_echarts, with tools focused on particular analytical views. Line and area charts cover trends, bars compare categories, and pie charts describe shares. Sankey charts trace flows across stages or categories, while funnels show how values diminish through a sequence. Hierarchical information can be rendered as treemaps, sunbursts, or trees. Other tools include heatmaps for intensity, candlesticks for financial data, boxplots for distributions, and network graphs for relationships between entities.

For more customized output, the general tool accepts ECharts options and configuration, covering data, styling, and themes. ECharts validation supports iterative model output as chart syntax and graphics are refined. Results can be exported in PNG, SVG, or option format, and chart generation runs locally rather than depending on remote services. The documented desktop setup covers clients such as Claude, VSCode, Cline, and Cherry Studio, with separate configuration examples for macOS and Windows.
