Overview
Dashboard work in mcp-superset spans data inspection, visualization settings, and publication. Analysts can inspect connection details, schemas, tables, and column metadata, then create datasets backed by tables or SQL queries. Dashboard tools adjust layouts, switch between published and draft states, manage native filters, and configure embedding domains. Chart operations include copying visualizations, querying datasets without creating charts, and warming caches. Dashboard exports package dependent charts, datasets, and database configurations into ZIP archives that can be imported again.
SQL Lab provides query execution and formatting, plus cost estimates where supported by the database engine. Stored result retrieval and CSV export need a configured Superset Results Backend. Administrators can manage users, groups, roles, and row-level security rules. Dashboard access grants and revocations offer previews before changes are applied, while an audit combines direct and inherited roles with dashboard access, dataset access, and available regions under row-level rules. Creating or updating dashboards synchronizes dataset access for assigned roles. Destructive actions and selected replacement updates require confirmation, and SQL Lab blocks DDL and DML operations.
