Evm MCP Server

evm-mcp-server connects AI agents to EVM networks for blockchain queries and wallet operations. Its MCP tools support contract calls, token transfers, approval management, ENS lookups, and message signing.

Overview

Across Ethereum, Base, Optimism, and other supported EVM chains, evm-mcp-server gives agents tools for examining chain state and wallet holdings. They can retrieve blocks, check native and ERC20 balances, inspect ERC721 metadata, and query ERC1155 balances. ENS tools translate names into addresses and perform reverse lookups. For contract investigation, agents can retrieve an ABI from a block explorer, call read-only functions, or combine contract reads into a single RPC request with multicall. Transaction queries expose receipts and confirmation status, while a separate tool waits for a transaction to be mined.

For execution, agents can transfer native tokens or ERC20 assets, grant spending allowances, and invoke state-changing contract functions. These actions use a wallet configured through a private key or mnemonic, while automatic ABI retrieval needs an Etherscan API key. Tools also identify the active wallet, inspect existing allowances, and report current gas prices. Signing supports arbitrary messages and EIP-712 structured data for Ethereum sign-in, permit signatures, and meta-transactions. Guided prompts address transfer planning, wallet analysis, contract exploration, approval reviews, and transaction troubleshooting.
