Overview

Markdown conversion and Word document creation sit alongside file reading and writing in doc-ops-mcp. Dedicated converters take Markdown to HTML, DOCX, or PDF, while another turns HTML into Markdown. Word files can also be generated directly from supplied content, including HTML. For inspecting existing files, read_document provides optional metadata extraction and formatted HTML output. Markdown conversion tools offer theme support, and the Markdown-to-DOCX tool handles tables, lists, headings, and inline styling.

For conversion workflows, plan_conversion uses source and target formats alongside preferences for styles, images, and quality to select a route, including intermediate formats where needed. PDF enhancement tools accept text or images for watermarks and an image file for QR additions. When a PDF comes from playwright-mcp, process_pdf_post_conversion can relocate the result, apply those additions, and clean up temporary files. OUTPUT_DIR sets the default location for generated documents; callers can omit the output path to use an automatically generated filename.
