Overview

AnythingMCP's demo tools provide guidance for teams connecting existing systems to AI clients. anythingmcp_overview introduces the project and explains the demo endpoint, while anythingmcp_get_started covers installation and startup. For client configuration, anythingmcp_connect_client supplies instructions covering Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot and Cursor. Teams choosing an integration path can use anythingmcp_list_connectors to explore the adapter catalog and learn which connector types they can create.

The underlying open-source gateway converts REST, SOAP and GraphQL services, SQL or NoSQL databases, and other MCP servers into MCP tools without requiring code changes. Users can import API specifications or select preconfigured adapters, then visually adjust tool labels, descriptions and parameter mappings. Supported imports include OpenAPI/Swagger, Postman and WSDL. The gateway includes OAuth2 authentication, role-based tool restrictions and individual MCP API keys. Its audit logs record call inputs and outputs alongside duration and status. Available integrations support workflows such as accessing ERP data, tracking shipments, checking train schedules and querying databases.
