Overview

Accessibility reviews can begin with a public page address or an HTML string. Through test_accessibility and test_html_string, accessibilitymcp lets Claude and other AI assistants run Axe-core checks using Puppeteer. Both inputs support optional WCAG tags to narrow the tests, with WCAG 2.0, 2.1, and 2.2 covered by the project. The get_rules tool provides rule information and optional filtering, giving users a way to explore the checks separately from testing content.

For targeted checks, check_color_contrast accepts hexadecimal foreground and background colors, with optional font size and bold styling inputs. check_aria_attributes examines ARIA usage in supplied HTML, while check_orientation_lock looks for content that restricts screen orientation. Accessibility results arrive as structured JSON with violation details, affected elements, help references, and counts for passed, incomplete, and inapplicable checks. The project runs on Node over stdio and documents Claude Desktop integration. It uses Deque's Axe-core but is not an official Deque Labs server.
